Producers Al Corley ("Dynasty") and Marty Kaplan have announced the world premiere of PHALARIS'S BULL: SOLVING THE RIDDLE OF THE GREAT BIG WORLD, conceived and performed by Steven Friedman and directed by David Schweizer, will play a strictly limited 5 week engagement from December 12, 2015 to January 16, 2016 at The Beckett Theater at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street.

Queens Theatre today announced the cast for this month's rarely seen New York City stage production of Harper Lee's classic To Kill A Mockingbird. Directed by Rob Urbinati, To Kill A Mockingbird is playing a two-week engagement with performances beginning on Friday, November 13th and extending through Sunday, November 22. c

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the full cast and creative team for its production of August Wilson's Seven Guitars, directed by Brandon J. Dirden, an award-winning actor who is making his directorial debut with this production. Seven Guitars is the third play in Wilson's American Century Cycle produced by Two River, following the theater's acclaimed mountings of Jitney and Two Trains Running. Performances will begin in Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, on Saturday, September 12 and continue through Sunday, October 4. Welcome to the Hamptons - where guests are gathering at the old Jordan estate at 210 Amlent Avenue for Fourth of July Festivities with their host, Mrs. Jordan, a retired actress.  But one unexpected guest, Judah, a young poet, is about to ignite a firestorm of events. In his search for the truth, he will unearth long kept secrets that will lead to unexpected consequences.  210 Amlent Avenue is one of the 10 Next Link musicals chosen and to be presented as part of the 12th edition of The New York Musical Theatre Festival, which starts July 7-27.

I want to express the deepest gratitude to the director, Igor Goldin, for not directing his actors into a corner with this show. Each and every person onstage had a story to tell, and not just some façade to put on: a worry I typically have when viewing a comedic musical. Even each member of the ensemble had fantastic individuality and characterization that it makes one wonder whether an ensemble needs to necessarily “blend together” – which, in fact, is quite difficult not to do when the show decks out its actors in outrageous costumes that make Betsy Johnson and Alexander McQueen look (I won't be forgetting you, anytime soon, Sausage Dress…). Though, it's the joint effort between the lead players and supporting players that create magic on that stage, and this cast did just that.

YOUR BLUES AIN'T SWEET LIKE MINE began its three-week run April 17 at the Two River Theater in Red Bank by focusing on the important issue of race in America. Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson's script and direction produced a realistic and meaningful production that reinforced the concept that more than home is where the heart is - it's where you are as well - and asked many poignant questions whose answers appear at different points in the performance.
