The Disney Channel original series 'Shake It Up' has gotten fans moving and shaking ever since premiering last year. Now, Walt Disney Records is set to release Shake It Up: Break It Down CD + DVD, a collection of upbeat dance songs from the series, including the show's theme song, 'Shake It Up,' performed by Hollywood Records' artist Selena Gomez. According to a report in Variety, actor Drew Seeley will be joined by Annie Potts and Emmy-winning soap actress Kim Zimmer in the film ‘Freshman Father.' Potts will play a surrogate mother to Seeley's character, a Harvard undegrad student who finds himself in over his head as he tries to balance academic and parental responsibilites. Zimmer will play Seeley's dean of the school.
