The Araca Group announces the return of AracaWorks, a week-long series of play readings celebrating new work for the theatre.

In Rome, Italy on Thursday, September 23rd there was a press conference announcing the World Premiere of Frank J. Avella's new play 'Vatican Falls' at Teatro Il Vascello. It will open on May 2, 2011. It will be directed by Enrico Maria Lamanna. Featuring a cast of eight actors, the play will be presented in Italian. http://www.teatrovascello.it/home.htm

The Lucille Lortel Awards announced today the details for the 26th Annual Lortel Awards Reception & Ceremony. The Awards Ceremony will be held on May 1, 2011 at 7 p.m. EST at NYU Skirball Center, 566 LaGuardia Place, at Washington Square. Playwright Christopher Durang will discuss his many comedic works for the American stage at a symposium following the Sunday, May 1, 3 p.m. matinee performance of his comedy, "Beyond Therapy," at Westport Country Playhouse.

In celebration of its 50 year anniversary, the critically-acclaimed Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? will open on Broadway Saturday, October 13, 2012-exactly 50 years to the date after the play's original Broadway opening on Saturday, October 13, 1962.
