Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents a new Broadway production of the classic musical On the Twentieth Century starring Tony & Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, Golden Globe, SAG Award winner & Tony nominee Peter Gallagher, Tony nominee Andy Karl, Mark Linn-Baker, Tony winner Michael McGrath and Tony winner Mary Louise Wilson. On the Twentieth Century is choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle and directed by six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis, and features music by Cy Coleman, and book & lyrics by Betty ComdenandAdolph Green. On the Twentieth Century is based on plays by Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur & Bruce Millholland. The original Broadway production was directed by Harold Prince.

The third LONDON FESTIVAL OF CABARET (LFoC) runs from April 28-May 11 and in addition to a spectacular list of artists, three prestigious new venues have joined the roster.
At 7 p.m. on Monday evening, March 2, with every seat in Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater occupied, almost 400 chorus members from 7 to 18 from the Young People's Chorus of New York City streamed on stage and filled the balcony boxes above. Included among us are 12 thrilling Broadway debuts; 6 who come straight from ballet companies; and 6 who previously danced with US and European ballet companies, Alvin Ailey or the Radio City Rockettes. 20 of our cast members are jubilantly back on Broadway, and every single performer was a part of the Chatelet production in Paris last fall. Today in 1946, Cyrano de Bergerac opened at the Alvin Theatre (now the Neil Simon Theatre), where it ran for 193 performances. Cyrano de Bergerac is a play written in 1897 by Edmond Rostand. Although there was a real Cyrano de Bergerac, the play bears a very scant resemblance to his life. The entire play is written in verse, in rhyming couplets of 12 syllables per line, very close to the Alexandrine format, but the verses sometimes lack a caesura. Notable English-speaking Cyranos include Ralph Richardson, DeVeren Bookwalter, Derek Jacobi, Richard Chamberlain, and Christopher Plummer, who played the part in Rostand's original play and won a Tony Award for the 1973 musical adaptation. Kevin Kline played the role in a Broadway production in 2007. The play is currently in previews at the American Airlines Theatre, starring Douglas Hodge in the title role.

Tom Stoppard's Tony Award-winning play The Real Thing, directed by Sam Gold begins preview performances on Thursday, October 2, 2014 and opens officially on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42ndStreet). This is a limited engagement. The cast also includes Alex Breaux as 'Brodie' and Madeline Weinstein as 'Debbie.' Final casting to be announced.

Santino Fontana, 2013 Tony Award nominee for Best Leading Actor in a Musical (Cinderella), visited students of Broadway Artists Alliance Junior Summer Intensive on July 9th. Fontana spoke of his start in school plays all the way to his Broadway career. Fontana relayed some words of wisdom during a Q&A, answering questions ranging from memorizing all those lines to the process of making Frozen.
In a profile for The Boston Globe, mega-producer, theater-owner and all-around theatre impresario Cameron Mackintosh revealed he thinks Neil Patrick Harris would be 'perfect' to star in his reworked version of BARNUM, which is set to launch a UK tour this September (starring Brian Conley). That is, if Harris's 'schedule ever opens up'.
