Lovlee Carroll and Matt O'Neill will headline DOMA Theatre Company's upcoming production of Xanadu, the roller-skating musical phenomenon about following one's dreams and believing in magic.

The special averaged a 5.6 rating in adults 18-49, according to 'fast official' ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

Tennessee Repertory Theatre announced plans for REPaloud, the popular play reading series. The first staged reading of the 2012-13 season will be the classic drama A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. Transport Group Theatre Company, the winner of both a Special Drama Desk Award and Obie Award, has announced that that their award-winning 2010 production of See Rock City & Other Destinations will receive an original cast recording produced by Yellow Sound Label. The Drama Desk and Richard Rodgers Award-winning musical has music by Brad Alexander and book and lyrics by Adam Mathias. The show was directed by Transport Group Artistic Director Jack Cummings III.

Today in 2007, Xanadu opened at the Helen Hayes Theatre, where it ran for 512 performances. Xanadu is a musical comedy with a book by Douglas Carter Beane and music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar, based on the 1980 cult classic film of the same name. The story of the musical focuses on a Greek muse, Clio, who descends from Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California, in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest creation of his life - a roller disco. It earned an Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical and a Drama Desk Award for Best Book. It was also nominated for Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Book.
