92Y announces a discussion with the stars and creative team of Mothers and Sons, the acclaimed new play recently nominated for two Tony Awards - Best Play and Best Actress in a Leading Role. Panelists include four-time Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally, and director Sheryl Kaller (Tony nominee) along with stars Tyne Daly (a Tony and six-time Emmy Award-winner) and Bobby Steggert (Tony nominee), along with moderator Perez Hilton.

The 2014 Honorees for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performance, the 6th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theater for an Outstanding Performance in a Broadway or Off-Broadway Production, and the John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre, were announced today by the Theatre World. The winners will be celebrated at the 70th Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony set Monday evening, June 2, 2014 beginning at 6:45 p.m. at Circle in the Square (West 50th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), home of the current Broadway revival of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill.

Obie and Drama Desk Award winner Frederick Weller and Tony® Award nominee Bobby Steggert will join Tony® and Emmy® Award winner Tyne Daly in the upcoming Broadway production of Terrence McNally's Mothers and Sons, it was announced today. Weller will portray Cal Porter opposite Daly's Katharine Gerard. Steggert, currently seen on Broadway in Big Fish, reprises the role of Will Ogden which he created in an earlier production of the play at Bucks County Playhouse. Mothers and Sons marks Mr. McNally's 20th Broadway show, and will be directed by Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall). It will play Broadway's John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). Preview performances have been set to begin Sunday, February 23, 2014, and the opening night has been announced for Monday, March 24, 2014. The evening is a centenary celebration of the lyrics of Sammy Cahn and the music of Jimmy Van Heusen and was conceived and directed by Grammy and Emmy Award winner, John McDaniel, during his first season as artistic director of the O'Neill Theater Center's Cabaret and Performance conference. Mr. McDaniel makes his New York directorial debut with this show.
