On Friday, May 17, 2015, choreographers, dancers, and dance enthusiasts-old and young-gathered together at the 92nd Street Y to remember the elegant maverick of modern dance, Pauline Koner. The afternoon featured four reconstructions of Koner's choreography, along with a 1949 video of her dancing To complete the celebration, Koner's students, dancers, music composers, and tour managers spoke briefly about her life and the wisdom she passed down to them.

It's always a better place when the Paul Taylor Dance Company comes to New York-a bona fide sign of excellence in the dance world. Not that the program was perfect; I had some reservations about two of the pieces, but overall I couldn't ask for a better place to spend a cold March evening.

The company will present two premieres celebrating Henning's 21st year as founding artistic director of his ensemble. The premieres will include, 'obsession | calm' and 'Brahms Dances'. Also on the program will be a reprise of 'Petit Pas' as a tribute to the late Neil Armstrong, whose voice is featured in the work; and 'HALF-LIFE 102'. The Dancers for the season are: Cynthia Dragoni, Erin Ginn, Temple Kemezis, Maria Phegan, Jacqueline Stewart, Uthman Ebrahim, Oisín Monaghan, Juan Rodriguez, Matt Van, and Henning Rübsam.
