Vic Mizzy, a songwriter who composed the iconic themes for the 1960s sit-coms 'The Addams Family' and 'Green Acres,' has passed. He was 93.

Chicago's Skokie Theatre Hosts An Evening with Heather Moran, 11/21

The Skokie Theatre is hosting an evening with Heather Moran, one of Chicago's top multi-genre vocalists, on November 21 at 8pm. Moran will be singing tunes of 50's jazz singers including Julie London, Peggy Lee, Rosemary Clooney, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and June Christy. Pianist Damian Espinosa, bassist Marc Piane and drummer Frank Parker join Heather Moran for this event.

Singer-songwriter and actor Nellie McKay has put together a compilation of song tracks paying tribute to 'America's sweetheart', singer and actress Doris Day. The disc, titled ‘Normal As Blueberry Pie', will feature 13 songs made famous by Day, including 'Wonderful Guy' (from South Pacific), Fats Waller's 'Mean to Me,' and 'Send Me No Flowers.'
