Viagara Falls, a new comedy by Lou Cutell and Joao Machado, comes to New York this summer. Presented by Stanley Browne, John Finocchio and SJ Productions, Inc., Viagara Falls begins performances at the Little Shubert Theatre Monday, July 5th. Opening night is Wednesday, July 21.

Today, we are taking a look and a listen to some splendid performances of material written by Frank Loesser, the Broadway composer/lyricist best-known for his musicals GUYS & DOLLS and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING as well as Hollywood songs like 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' (which won an Oscar) and 'Heart and Soul'. He won 2 Tony Awards for Best Musical and HOW TO SUCCEED won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama - or, as Loesser candidly called it, 'the Putz-ular Prize' - and his work is some of the jazziest and jauntiest ever to grace the boards. With some help from Michael Feinstein, Bette Davis, Bob Hope, Doris Day and Loesser himself we have some fantastic fireworks of melody and merriment to enjoy this July 4th weekend thanks in no small part to Frank!

Chicago based singer, Laura Freeman, a 1991 IUSB graduate, returns to Michiana for Doris Day tribute. As an actress/singer, Laura has performed all over the world. Laura is thrilled to be back in her parent's backyard, with this delightful tribute to Doris Day. Laura grew up in the theatres around South Bend...The Round Barn at Amish Acres, Wagon Wheel Playhouse and The Enchanted Hills Playhouse. It's been 10 years since she has been back here in a performance. Musical Director for 'Sentimental Journey - The Music of Doris Day' , is the critically acclaimed singer/arranger and Indiana native, Beckie Menzie.
