Coronado Playhouse continues its 2018 Season, A Family Affair, with Next to Normal, opening Friday, May 25th running until Sunday, June 17th, 2018 at The Playhouse. Heartbreaking, humorous and unflinchingly authentic in its examination of a suburban family and how they handle mother's 16-year battle with bi-polar disorder, Next to Normal is a tremendously moving and intimate musical about deeply complicated and flawed human beings and takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting their family's story with love, sympathy and heart.

Pocket Universe - the company behind last summer's acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Julius Caesar set in an all-girls highschool - has released a brand new teaser video for the new, reimagined adaption of Beaumont & Fletcher's THE MAID'S TRAGEDY. Set in present day Hollywood, the Off-Broadway production will run from June 13 to June 30, 2018 at the Access Theater (380 Broadway) in TriBeCa. Opening night is set for Friday, June 15.

One of Hollywood's most iconic stars is coming to the Las Vegas Strip in Marilyn! The New Musical, an original musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. The show will open at Paris Las Vegas with preview performances beginning May 23 and a grand opening June 1, just in time for Marilyn's birthday. On August 25 this year, Leonard Bernstein would have celebrated his 100th birthday. To honor this centennial, the 2018 Bard SummerScape festival launches with the first major revival of the composer's Peter Pan. Commissioned from Olivier Award-winning director and Bernstein specialist Christopher Alden, and presented complete in an intimate new chamber arrangement, Bard's new production is the only one of Bernstein's theatrical works to be staged in the New York area during the centenary year. Alden's psychologically gripping treatment reveals the childhood fantasy's darker side, combining new choreography from Jack Ferver, with Bernstein's joyous, shimmering score. By turns whimsical and sinister, the production's cast is led by William Michals as Captain Hook, Peter Smith as Peter Pan, Erin Markey, as Wendy, and Ferver as Tinker Bell.

The 2017-18 MetLiveArts Artist in Residence, the groundbreaking choreographer and artistic director Andrea Miller of GALLIM, closes her year-long residency with six days of a performative installation in the three gallery spaces of The Met Breuer. In collaboration with award-winning filmmaker Ben Stamper, composer Will Epstein, and fashion designer Jose Solis, GALLIM's dancers take over the Museum's fifth floor in the world premiere of (C)arbon, a work on the phenomenon of the body. Each of the three gallery spaces is dedicated to a distinct perspective on the anthropology of the body-as individuals, in dual relationships and in the social mass. (C)arbon can be experienced alongside the exhibition, Like Life: Sculpture, Color, and the Body at The Met Breuer.
