The Manhattan Theatre Club Broadway premiere of COLLECTED STORIES, by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies (Time Stands Still, Dinner with Friends), directed by Lynne Meadow (The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, The Loman Family Picnic) opened last night at MTC's Samuel J. Tony Award winner Linda Lavin and director Lynne Meadow, who collaborated on MTC's The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, reunite for a new production of Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies' celebrated drama also starring Sarah Paulson. Collected Stories chronicles the relationship between two female writers: Ruth Steiner (Lavin), a celebrated New York author with a dry wit and a distinguished career; and her bright-eyed young protege, Lisa Morrison. As their relationship evolves and the line between fact and fiction starts to blur, their fascinating story comes to an explosive conclusion.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced the Manhattan Theatre Club production of Polly Stenham's THAT FACE will be directed by Sarah Benson (Blasted, Artistic Director of Soho Rep) and will feature three-time Obie winner Elizabeth Marvel (Top Girls, 50 Words). THAT FACE will begin previews on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I for a Tuesday, May 18, 2010 opening night.

Long Wharf Theatre Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein follows up his triumphant re-examination of The Glass Menagerie and his exploration of the new works of Athol Fugard with his adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, running on the Mainstage from April 28 through May 23.

During a recent interview, Broadway star Alicia Silverstone discussed the challenges of bringing the role from LA to Broadway. Notably, Silverstone said she attempted to wipe the slate clean for the role, as if she had never performed the role before.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Sunday Symposium with one of the most famous Broadway musical teams, Joe Masteroff, Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, who created the musical, 'She Loves Me,' following the Sunday, April 25, 3 p.m. matinee performance of the enchanting musical comedy, directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director.

Several Broadway stars are set for the upcoming Primary Stages Concert series, including Charles Busch, Mario Cantone, Penny Fuller, Julie Halston, Jamie deRoy, Gregg Edelman, and Karen Mason. The performances will take place in April and May over a one week span that will take place at the 59E59 Theatre.

The Drama League (Jano Herbosch, President; Gabriel Shanks, Executive Director), announced the nominations for the 2009-10 Drama League Awards today at Sardi's with the help of Broadway stars Kelsey Grammer (La Cage Aux Folles) and Bebe Neuwirth (The Addams Family). The 76th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon will take place on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 12:00pm at the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square. The event will be co-hosted by Vanessa Williams (Sondheim on Sondheim) and Michael Urie (The Temperamentals).
