Executive Artistic Director Carson Kievman has announced that SoBe Institute of the Arts (SoBe Arts) will present staged readings of promising new plays, beginning with Acapulco by New York writer Jacquelyn Reingold (HBO's In Treatment, Law and Order, and produced off-Broadway) and featuring L.A.-based Evan Handler ('Sex and the City,' 'Californication,' and films by Ron Howard and Oliver Stone) in addition to local artists.

Palm Beach Dramaworks, announced its critically acclaimed production of Mark St. Germain's play, 'Freud's Last Session' will play an additional week of performances, slated through Sunday, February 13th at their intimate downtown theatre (322 Banyan Boulevard). The extended playing week's performance schedule will be as follows: Wednesday through Saturday at 8PM; with Matinee performances on Wednesday at 3PM Saturday &Sunday at 2PM.

West Palm Beach's longest residing professional theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, continues its 11th anniversary season with the Southeast premiere of Mark St. Germain's play, 'Freud's Last Session' on Friday, December 17th (8PM) at their intimate downtown theatre (322 Banyan Boulevard). Special priced preview performances are slated for December 15th & 16th (8PM) and the production will play through February 6th.

New York Theatre Intensives/New Play Summer Conservatory in association with the artists of the Ensemble Studio Theatre is offering its second summer conservatory in New York City. The six-week play development program is an intensive and immersive process for student actors, writers and directors which was offered for the first time last year. This year the Conservatory will include a three-week intensive for student lighting designers.

TIME STANDS STILL, Broadway's best reviewed new play, will end its acclaimed run when stars Laura Linney, Brian d'Arcy James, Eric Bogosian, and Christina Ricci depart the production, as scheduled, on Sunday, January 30 at the Cort Theatre (137 West 48th Street). The play, by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan, recently announced the lauded cast had extended their run at the Cort, through January 30. When it closes on that date, the production will have played 16 preview performances and 126 regular performances.
