The Old Globe presents a revival of Steve Martin's clever and crowd-pleasing comedy hit Picasso at the Lapin Agile. This is the third Martin work in three seasons at the Globe, following 2014's world premiere musical Bright Star, which went on to Broadway and five Tony Award nominations, and last year's twice-extended world premiere comedy Meteor Shower. Columbus Children's Choir is proud to present the 11th Annual Voice of the City Vocal Competition. On January 28th and 29th, singers ages 8 to 18 will audition with a song of his or her choosing before a panel of judges. After a preliminary audition process, which typically draws more than 100 contestants, the judges will narrow the hopefuls to approximately 30 singers in three age groups. Finalists will compete in front of a live audience for the $1,000 Grand Prize on March 18th in the Voice of the City Finals. The concert is filled with popular songs and Broadway hits, and is family friendly.

I've only watched one episode of NBC's Friday night sitcom UNDATEABLE, so I am not going to claim to be an expert on the deep, emotional lives of Danny, Justin, and the rest of their undateable friends. However, that one episode that I watched was an episode that was broadcast live last May. Yes the show was sucked me in with an obvious, attention-grabbing gimmick, but it was a gimmick that I found to be very interesting. Not only did the idea call back to the early days of television, where, by the constraints of technology, all shows had to be broadcast live, but it also opened up the door for legitimate comedic improv, that you can't see anywhere else on TV. Also, as someone who loves theatre as much as I love TV, this brought a new form of live entertainment into people's homes.
