Due to overwhelming demand, Universal Pictures announced today that it will release a special sing-along edition of its worldwide smash hit movie musical Mamma Mia! in selected theaters nationwide, starting Friday, August 29, for a limited time.

MAMMA MIA! The Movie is still going strong in the box office, even in its fourth week up against summer blockbusters such as The Dark Knight and the highly anticipated Pineapple Express. The movie dropped to number six in the box office this week but still brought in just over $8 million, bringing the total gross for the film up to $104 million and dropping only 36%

In its third week in theaters Mamma Mia! the movie took in 13.1 million at the box office. So far the movie has brought in roughly 88 million.

In its second week in theaters Mamma Mia! the movie took in $17,865,000 at the box office. So far the movie has brought in $62,714,000. Its worldwide gross is currently $135,314,000.

Mamma Mia! The Movie came in with a bang grossing roughly $27,605,00 in its opening weekend. The movie held its New York premiere on July 16th, 2008.
