Ballet Hispanico Celebrates 25th Season at The Joyce Theater, 4/16-28

Ballet Hispanico, recognized as the nation's leading Latino dance organization since 1970, returns to The Joyce Theater for its 25th annual New York Season from April 16-28, 2013. Tickets range from $10-$59. Tickets are available by phone at 212-242-0800 or online at Joyce.org. The Joyce Theater is located at 175 Eighth Avenue (at 19th Street), NYC.

Sam Shepard to Star in Discovery's First Scripted Mini-Series KLONDIKE

It was announced today that Academy Award nominated actor Sam Shepard will be joining the cast of Discovery Channel's first-ever, scripted mini-series KLONDIKE (wt). Shepard will be playing the role of Father Judge.

B Street Theatre's FANTASY FESTIVAL XXVII School Tour to Play Public Performance 4/27

This week The B Street Theatre School Tourproduction of Fantasy Festival XXVII hits the road. This is the 27th year that elementary and middle school students throughout northern California have submitted original plays to B Street Theatre's annual playwriting contest for young people. Out of over 150 plays submitted this year, just five have been selected for the tour. The show presentsall five winning plays at 144 assemblies in over 108 schools in northern California between March 18 and June 7, 2013, with a special public performance at the B Street Theatre on April 27 at 10:00 am.

One-hundred-seven works by 88 artists include paintings in oils, acrylics and watercolors, as well as sculptures and mixed media collages.
