FREUD'S LAST SESSION Features Post-Show Talkback Discussion Today, 8/19

FREUD'S LAST SESSION will feature a post-show talkback discussion with Dr. Jeffrey W. Barbeau, Associate Professor of Theology in the Graduate School of Wheaton College; Dr. Tracy L. Caldwell, Associate Professor of Psychology at Dominican University; and Dr. Larry Arnhart, Presidential Research Professor of Political Science at Northern Illinois University, following the 1:00 p.m. performance today, August 19 at the Mercury Theater, 3745 N. Southport in Chicago. The scholars will discuss the thought-provoking themes addressed in the play, such as the existence of God and the meaning of life.

Patty Farmer Set for AUTHOR'S NIGHT 2012 Tonight, 8/11

Patty Farmer, author of "The Persian Room Presents," joins a celebrated list of authors including Dick Cavett, Jack Cavanaugh, Hilary Knight, Jeffrey Lyons, Dr. Ruth Westheimer and more for "Authors Night," 2012. Dubbed "The greatest white female singer in the world" by none other than Ella Fitzgerald, star vocalist Marilyn Maye took Provincetown audiences by storm in her long anticipated debut at The Art House last season. She returns to The Art House by popular demand this summer tonight, August 7th and tomorrow night, August 8th at 7:00 PM featuring Billy Stritch on the piano.

Pittsburgh CLO Presents THE ADDAMS FAMILY, Now thru 8/12

The national tour of The Addams Family, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, will make its Pennsylvania premiere in Pittsburgh tonight, July 31 and play through Sunday, August 12, 2012, at the Benedum Center as part of the Pittsburgh CLO summer season and PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh 2011-12 series.

Upon the New York closing of FREUD'S LAST SESSION on July 22nd, the production will have played a total of 775 performances and eight previews.

FREUD'S LAST SESSION, the runaway hit play by Mark St. Germain, celebrated its 750th New York performance yesterday, June 30th at New World Stages (240 West 50th Street). FREUD'S LAST SESSION is the winner of the 2011 Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Play. In celebration of the official end of the school year, the show's producers recently released an additional block of $20 student tickets for all performances this summer.
