Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) will host its annual Gala at the Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Avenue, Astoria, NY on Wednesday, April 1, 2015.

Award­-winning actors Bill Connington (ZOMBIE) and Cadden Jones (WEST SIDE STORY) appear today in the sparkling George Bernard Shaw comedy PYGMALION at a private club on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Bill Connington won several awards for acting in the play and short film versions of ZOMBIE, based on the novella by literary giant Joyce Carol Oates. Cadden Jones has been seen as the lead in WEST SIDE STORY and THE MUSIC MAN, as well as in LAW & ORDER SVU and BLUE BLOODS. Connington and Jones were trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, respectively.

The award-winning Astoria Performing Arts Center has announced their Midwinter Reading Series, consisting of a play and a musical, that will be presented at the Queens Council on the Arts, supported by grants from the Dramatist Guild Fund and the Department of Cultural Affairs.

The Award-winning Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC), has announced that their 14th season spring musical will be Merrily We Roll Along, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by George Furth, based on the original play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, and directed by APAC's Artistic Director Dev Bondarin. The musical begins on Thursday, April 30, 2015 and continues through Saturday, May 23, 2015. Auditions are currently underway for Prospect Theater Company's annual Musical Theater Summer Intensive for students aged 12-17. Beginning July 8 and running through July 27, students will participate in a daily musical theater training program from 10am - 6pm.
