Manhattan Theatre Works (MTWorks) and Co-Artistic Directors Antonio Minino and David Stallings, are excited to announce a new vision and programming for Season 8. The Season of Evolution will include four new commissioned plays, their flagship program the Newborn Festival and a world premiere written by Co-Artistic Director David Stallings.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the winners of the NYMF 2013 Awards for Excellence. Awards are voted on by the NYMF jury.

Prospect Theater Company will present THE GREAT NYC TREASURE QUEST as part of the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Performances will be held on Friday, July 26 at 1pm and Saturday, July 27 at 11am at The PTC Performance Space.

Auditions are currently underway for Prospect Theater Company's annual Musical Theater Summer Intensive for students aged 12-17. Beginning July 8 and running through July 27, students will participate in a daily musical theater training program from 10am - 6pm.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the lineup of special events, concerts, student productions, and free developmental readings for its 10th annual festival. The festival also announced three additional full productions. This year's Festival will begin July 8th and continue through July 28th.

Performances for King Lear will be held at the Saint Mary's, Times Square, Third Floor Theatre, 145 West 46th Street (between Sixth and Seventh Aves.) for a limited engagement - twelve performances - beginning tonight, October 18 through Sunday, November 4th, 2012. Jay Alan Zimmerman's Incredibly Deaf Musical, a funny and inspiring autobiographical musical about his own experiences as a composer experiencing progressive deafness that performed as part of the 2010 New York Musical Theater Festival, returns for a limited NYC engagement at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater, located at 10 West 64th Street (at Central Park West).

The Snap Shot Plays is an Equity approved showcase.
