DEBUT OF THE MONTH: EARNEST's Sara Topham

This month, BroadwayWorld is showcasing actress Sara Topham, who is making her Broadway debut as Gwendolyn in Roundabout Theatre Company's production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Previously, she was part of this production at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival.

Legendary costume designer ALBERT WOLSKY and world renowned scenic designer MING CHO LEE are among the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 23 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Two-time Academy Award-winner Albert Wolsky will receive the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer and educator Ming Cho Lee will receive the TDF/Irene Sharaff Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.

TDF To Present Annual Irene Sharaff Awards

Xanadu star Kerry Butler and Costume Designers Suzy Benzinger, Alvin Colt, Linda Fisher, Jane Greenald, Desmond Heeley, Willa Kim, Eugene Lee, Kitty Leech, William Ivey Long, Jeff Mahshie, Martin Pakladinaz, Sally Ann Parsons, Robert Perziola, Jose Varona, and David Zinn, among others will be celebrating the Theatre Development Fund's Irene Sharaff Awards given for outstanding achievement in costume design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection.

Dick Scanlan, Tony-nominated lyricist and librettist of 2002's Thoroughly Modern Millie, will host the VIP preview of StageStruck: The Magic of Theatre Design at the Leslie/Lohman Gallery on Tuesday, November 13.

A dazzling array of some 150 theatrical set and costume design models and sketches will be on display in StageStruck: The Magic of Theatre Design at Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation Gallery from November 14 to December 22.
