FX has set the premiere dates for two of the year's most anticipated new comedy series, ATLANTA and BETTER THINGS, as well as the return of the acclaimed and award-winning AMERICAN HORROR STORY for its sixth installment

FX has set the premiere dates for two of the year's most anticipated new comedy series, Atlanta and Better Things, as well as the return of the acclaimed and award-winning American Horror Story for its sixth installment, it was announced today by Chuck Saftler, President of Program Strategy and COO, FX Networks. Atlanta, a half-hour comedy series created by and starring Donald Glover, will premiere on FX on September 6, followed two days later by Better Things, a half-hour comedy series co-created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K. and starring Adlon. Then on September 14, the as-yet-untitled sixth installment of the Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) winning limited series American Horror Story returns from co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

The Strain returns to FX with a 10-episode season on Sundays at 10 PM ET/PT starting August 28. You're the Worst is back for 13 episodes on FXX on Wednesdays at 10 PM ET/PT beginning August 31.

Still a little scarred after FX cancelled one of my favorite television comedies, LEGIT, I was skeptical to check out any new shows. Even though I've been a faithful fan of THE LEAGUE for years, I doubted their decision making after losing such a gem. When I saw the preview for YOU'RE THE WORST, it amused me. But hey, trailers have led to disappointment before. What a delightful surprise.

Teatro Vista has announced the addition of two new ensemble members and seven new artistic associates to the company. The new ensemble members include Ramon Camin and Tommy Rivera-Vega. Vassar & New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater previously announced casting updates for the season, including Ilana Levine (Jake's Women, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, The Last Night of Ballyhoo), who joins Dominic Fumusa, Greg Kinnear, and Jennifer Westfeldt in the cast of the second Mainstage production of The Power of Duff by Stephen Belber, directed by Peter DuBois (7/18-29).
