After hundreds of thousands of votes in 6 countries and over 70 regions worldwide, from Los Angeles to Wichita to South Africa and more, BroadwayWorld has announced the winners of our 2015 Regional Awards.

Votes are cast; polls are closed; and results have been tabulated! This was our biggest year yet! After a record number of voters in more than 70 regions worldwide, BroadwayWorld is very excited to announce the 2015 San Francisco winners! Transcendence Theatre Company wins big!  Highlights include Nicolas Dromard and Desiree Davar for their performance of 'Superheroes in Love' at Transcendence Theatre, Nicole (Nikki) Chavez for IN THE HEIGHTS, Travis Taylor  for THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and more!  Thanks to all who voted, and huge congratulations to all the winners!

When Music Circus presented a spectacular production of 'Big River' earlier this summer, it seemed nothing could top it. Four weeks later, 'West Side Story' has come 'cannonballing down through the sky, gleam in its eye, bright as a rose.' Playing through Sunday at California Musical Theatre's Wells Fargo Pavilion, the Romeo-and-Juliet-based musical takes its audience for an emotional ride that builds tension with skill and moves in strides with hope and heart. 

With a cast featuring Music Circus audience favorites and Broadway veterans, several of which have performed in the show on Broadway and on tour, West Side Story, the fifth production in the 65th Music Circus season, celebrates Broadway at its greatest. Performances run August 4 through Sunday, August 9 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion.  BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

The 65th Music Circus season continues with Peter Pan, a high-flying, magical journey to Neverland that critics call 'purely delightful...ageless...a wonderful tradition.' The cast includes Broadway veterans, Music Circus audience favorites, and talented actors making their Music Circus debut this season. Can-Can's score features some of Cole Porter's timeless classics including 'I Love Paris,' 'C'est Magnifique,' 'It's All Right With Me' and more. Paper Mill Playhouse is launching this Broadway-bound production of Cole Porter's classic musical with producing partner Jonathan Burrows. Can-Can will play the Millburn, New Jersey, theater from October 1 through October 26, 2014. I've seen it more times than I care to count. Between the movie version, the still running Broadway revival, the touring productions and copious local productions most people have. And why not? 'Chicago' is one of Kander and Ebb's best and most enduring. So when Village Theatre announced it would be closing their season I thought, 'Oh goodie I get to see it AGAIN!' But Director Steve Tomkins has not only assembled one kick-ass cast but they've put their own little twist on it. No, they haven't set it in space or anything but they have returned the glitz, flash and humor to a show that has become known for seductively brooding in the dark. Oh the sex is still there but it's accompanied by a sense of whimsy that makes this production stand apart.
