To commemorate the 210th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin, 'Russia's Shakespeare' and most beloved writer, Green Lamp Press presents the world premiere in English verse of Pushkin's LITTLE TRAGEDIES - described by Dostoyevsky as 'the greatest play ever in any language,' translated and co-directed by award-winning author Julian Henry Lowenfeld -- with previews beginning November 3, prior to its official press opening November 5, at Baryshnikov Arts Center's Howard Gilman Performance Space in Manhattan.

Slant Theatre Project will produce MINE, a new play by Bekah Brunstetter, at the Sanford Meisner Theatre, November 12 - 22, 2009. Written by Brunstetter (OOHRAH! at Atlantic Theatre Company), the cast features Lucas Kavner, Amelia McClain (Dance Dance Revolution), and Zach Shaffer (B'way revivals of The Man Who Came to Dinner and A View From the Bridge). Wes Grantom directs.

The Jamal Lullabies is a musical tribute and lament written and scored by Emily Conbere and directed by Paul Bargetto. In the piece four young, white women sing about Jamal, a beloved black student at their school who was killed at a gang shooting during a party. As the women unfold their stories it becomes clear that each of them loved him in profound ways that altered the course of their lives. The Jamal Lullabies is a potently ironic exploration of love and race in the popular cultural imagination. It stars Bekah Coulter, Debbie Friedman, Kristina Teschner, and Nicole Stefonek
