The Red Bull Theater, those specialists in making Jacobean drama hip without going hipster, have assembled an excellent company for Jesse Berger's vividly realized mounting of the 1621 rarity, The Witch of Edmonton.

Red Bull Theater will present the first major Off-Broadway production of this fantastical tragicomedy, featuring a witch, a fool, a young man, his two wives, an angry mob, and one very devilish dog. In a new production of the Jacobean play by Thomas Dekker, John Ford and William Rowley, this rarely-performed classic rips open the dark underbelly of a small town with humor and pathos. As the lives of its inhabitants intersect in strange and spellbinding ways, the power of a community for both good and for evil is revealed. Red Bull Theater's upcoming production offers New York theater-goers an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience this fascinating and timely tale.

This year's Highlight In Jazz Concert series will have a slight change. Randy Sandke will sub for Warren Vache, who was scheduled to play during the Tribute to Derek Smith on Thursday, March 10.
