Producers Stage Entertainment USA, Bill Taylor (Sister Act, Rocky) and Tom Kirdahy (It's Only A Play, The Visit) today unveil the artwork for the new musical, ANASTASIA, which will begin previews on March 23, 2017 and open on Broadway on April 24, 2017 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street).

Just last night, Broadway's best came out for a special screening of Florence Foster Jenkins. Hosted by Colman Domingo, Cynthia Erivo, Patina Miller, Matthew Morrison, and Max von Essen, the evening celebrated Paramount's new film, which hits theatres on August 12.

Producers Stage Entertainment USA, Bill Taylor (Sister Act, Rocky) and Tom Kirdahy Productions (It's Only A Play, The Visit) announce today the new musical, Anastasia, will open on Broadway on April 24, 2017 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The company will be led by Christy Altomare, Derek Klena, John Bolton and Caroline O'Connor in the roles they originated at Hartford Stage. Additional casting will be announced soon.

The UK's Sunday Show Tunes, in collaboration with Executive Producer Maureen Rejali, presents composer/lyricist Scott Evan Davis in concert live at The Pheasantry in London. UK artists will join Davis in performing music from his new recording, NEXT, his debut CD, Cautiously Optimistic, and other originals. Artists include: Rosemary Ashe, Ilan Galkoff, Joel Harper Jackson, Stuart Matthew Price, Charlotte Baker Wakefield and others to be announced. There will be one show on September 18th at 8pm, with doors opening at 6pm. The ticket price is £15. A full dinner menu and bar are available. Broadway Records has announced that the star-studded studio cast recording of LIKE YOU LIKE IT will be released digitally and in stores on September 23, 2016.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that the first preview of Broadway-bound ANASTASIA has been canceled due to technical problems. The show is still scheduled to open on Friday, May 27 and run through June 19, 2016. Hartford Stage Managing Director Michael Stotts explains: 

Hartford Stage presents the Broadway-bound musical ANASTASIA, starting tonight, May 12, for a run through June 19, 2016. The official opening will be Friday, May 27.

Performances begin tomorrow for the new musical by Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens.

MAGIC MIKE will be hitting the strip - literally.
