As the Colorado members of The Broadway League, Denver Center Attractions announces The Bobby G Awards - a regional awards program intended to feed into The Jimmy Awards encouraging and rewarding outstanding achievements in the production of high school musical theatre. Public and private high schools in the seven county Denver metro may apply for this regional program now through February 1, 2013. Linda Kelin and Barbara Gehring, met as adults and instantly realized they should have been friends as kids. They eventually shared their diaries with each other, spawning what would eventually become GIRLS ONLY - THE SECRET COMEDY OF WOMEN. After sharing their dairies with each other, they decided to share them with an audience in an improvisational theatre setting. Eventually, that idea morphed into the show now being presented in Houston at Main Street Theater's Chelsea Market Location. The show still utilizes improvised scenes in addition to its scripted material, original songs, and dance to celebrate every aspect of being a woman that audiences can share across cultures, generations, and even sex (for any men brave enough to attend).
Denver Center Attractions and Nancy Rebek Productions are proud to present WORKS IN PROGRESS: AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH DAVID SEDARIS. Best-selling author and NPR contributor David Sedaris comes to Denver for an unprecedented eight performances only in the intimate Garner Galleria Theatre January 21-27, 2013. Denver Center Theatre Company (DCTC) will present the world premiere of SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL, running April 5 - May 26 in The Stage Theatre. Accoring to DCTC's website, the show has securred an all-star design team, wich includes scenic design by Allen Moyer, costume design by Esosa, lighting design by James F. Ingalls and sound design by
Craig Breitenbach. As BroadwayWorld previously announced, the show will be directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which launches August 14 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver and plays a limited engagement through September 2. In Denver, the production will make 24 tickets available for all performances at $25 apiece.
