Single tickets for the 2014-15 season at the Center for the Performing Arts -- home of the Palladium, the Tarkington Theater, and Studio Theater -- are available for purchase on Monday, July 28. Starting at 6 a.m. Monday, single tickets are available for purchase online at www.TheCenterPresents.org. Bramwell Tovey continues the first week of the Los Angeles Philharmonic classical season at the Hollywood Bowl by bringing 20th-century favorites from Bernstein and Gershwin to the stage, tonight, July 10, at 8 pm. Singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, fresh from performing at the Bowl the night before in the jazz concert, To Ella with Love, joins the program to sing favorite Gershwin tunes. She replaces Megan Hilty, who was forced to cancel due to scheduling conflicts.

The season marks Herbie Hancock's fifth year as Creative Chair for Jazz.

President and CEO Tania Castroverde Moskalenko unveiled the 2014-15 season at the Center for the Performing Arts - home of the Palladium. The new season represents multiple series, including Country, Printing Partners Classical, The Stratford Songbook, Taft Law Jazz & Blues, Coca-Cola World Stage, and The Buck Group Dance. In addition to the six series, the Center will present Drewry Simmons Vornehm Pop & Rock, Spotlight, Holiday, and CNO Financial Group Family shows.

The 29th Annual Bistro Awards gala, set to take place tonight, March 4, has announced two new presenters. Stephen Schwartz, the Oscar, Tony, Grammy, and Golden Globe-winning composer/lyricist, who wrote the scores to such musicals as Pippin, Wicked, Godspell, and The Magic Show, will present Ben Vereen, the Tony Award-winning actor-singer-dancer, with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
