Happy Birthday, Debra Monk! The Tony Award winner made her Broadway debut in PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES in 1982. Her Broadway credits include PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES, PRELUDE TO A KISS, NICK & NORA, REDWOOD CURTAIN, PICNIC, COMPANY, CHICAGO, STEAL PIER, AH, WILDERNESS!, THOU SHALT NOT, RECKLESS, CHILDREN AND ART, and CURTAINS. Monk won the Tony Award in 1993 for REDWOOD CURTAIN and was nominated for Tony Awards in 1997 and 2007 for both STEEL PIER and CURTAINS.

Williamstown Theatre Festival hosts its annual WTF Gala at City Winery in New York City (155 Varick Street) tonight, February 9, 2015 at 6:30 PM.

Almost Maine is one of the countries most produced plays, this February; Royal Family Productions (Katie Avebe, Mary Bernardi, Chris Henry and Andy Theodorou, Founders) will present the New York premiere of John Cariani's follow-up play LOVE / SICK. Directed by Chris Henry and featuring choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter, LOVE / SICK will begin performances on February 6 and open on February 9 through February 26, 2015 at Royal Family's new home in Times Square at Royal Family Performing Arts Space (145 West 46th St.). The New 42nd Street's annual Gala was held last night, January 12 at The New Victory Theater, to honor Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe Award-winner John Lithgow with the New Victory Arts Award for his work in 'bringing kids to the arts and the arts to kids.' The New 42nd Street also honored The Rudin Family with the inaugural Marian Heiskell Award for their role in shaping the future of New York City. Glenn Close served as Gala honorary chair. The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) has announced that its 2014 donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will total $1.65 million dollars, marking the largest single contribution in BC/EFA history and bringing the foundation's total contribution to BC/EFA to $10 million since it began ten years ago.

Golden Globe and two time-Tony winner Bernadette Peters is one of the most respected and reveered performers in the history of the Broadway stage, but her career spans far beyond the lights of Times Square. She starred in Oscar nominated film PENNIES FROM HEAVENS and Mel Brooks' SILENT FILM, and she was a regular on THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW, ALLY MCBEAL, and SMASH. Beginning on December 23rd, Peters will be featured in the original dark comedy MOZART IN THE JUNGLE from Amazon Studios.

Amazon Studios just celebrated the premiere of its highly-anticipated dramatic comedy series, Mozart in the Jungle. Mozart in the Jungle draws back the curtain at the New York Symphony, where artistic dedication and creativity collide with mind games, politicking and survival instincts.
