Trinity Rep has announced that it will host a free public forum to discuss the history and issues surrounding The Merchant of Venice in conjunction with its production of Shakespeare's controversial play.

Today, Trinity Rep adds to the magnificent synchronicity of the date (2/22!) by offering great seats for only $22 for the rest of the run of The Merchant of Venice!

Trinity Rep resident acting company member Joe Wilson, Jr. will be honored by the Rhode Island Black Heritage Society later this month. An annual Black History Month tradition, the event will take place on Saturday, February 18 from 2 - 4 PM at the Metacomet Country Club in East Providence.

Trinity Rep's Education Department will once again provide students the opportunity to spend the summer exploring a world of creativity and theater under the instruction of Rhode Island's most knowledgeable theater professionals. Enrollment is now open for both the Young Actors Summer Institute (YASI), which offers classes for grades 5-12 and for YASI Jr., a week-long program for grades 1-4. The YASI class for grades 8-9 is at capacity, but interested students can be placed on a wait list.
