More often than not, theatres produce Shakespeare with a unique, modernizing spin. Keeping in this vein, Eklektix Theatre's Artistic Director Bryan-Keyth Wilson has adapted William Shakespeare's tragedy MACBETH, setting it in a post apocalyptic urban wasteland in the year 3013. Likewise, Bryan-Keyth Wilson, in adapting the play, has made some cuts to the script, which ensure that William Shakespeare's script about betrayal, murder, vanity, paranoia, and madness moves at a break-neck pace.

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts & McCoy Rigby Entertainment will present the Tony Award-winning (2008 Best Play Revival), hilarious, sexy, non-stop comedy, BOEING-BOEING, written by Marc Camoletti, translated by Beverley Cross & Francis Evans and directed by Jeff Maynard. BOEING-BOEING will preview on Friday, January 18, 2013 (with a press opening on Saturday, January 19) and runs through Sunday, February 10, 2013 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

Anticipation for the revived and revised version Frank Wildhorn's acclaimed musical JEKYLL & HYDE is building in Houston, TX. The tour opened in La Mirada, California on September 7, 2012 and will be make a whirlwind stop in San Diego, California before coming home to Houston in October. To give me the inside scoop on this new Broadway-bound production, Constantine Maroulis, starring in the titular dual roles, chatted with me from La Mirada.

Today we are talking to a tremendously talented triple-threat star all about her many recent and upcoming endeavors, including the forthcoming feature films ADDICTED, 1982 and THE LAST LETTER, as well as the pilot for a new TV series, GUILTY, and, of course, her debut solo album project - the magnetic and beautiful Sharon Leal. In addition to discussing many aspects of her films to date and her starry assortment of co-stars and collaborators on them - Jennifer Hudson, Bill Condon, Bernie Mac, Samuel L. Jackson, Pam Grier, Chris Brown, McG and Cuba Gooding, Jr. included - Leal and I also discuss her theatrically-attuned work thus far in her career, having appeared on Broadway in RENT, as well as in starring in BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY, regional work and in a prominent featured role as part of the big screen film adaptation of DREAMGIRLS. The Nederlander Organization has announced that the four-time Tony nominated musical sensation JEKYLL & HYDE will play the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood for a limited 3 week engagement February 12 - March 3, 2013.

Due to an unforeseen scheduling change, Sarah Brightman's performance at the 2013 Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) Gala on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 7:30P has been cancelled. Ms. Brightman's concerts in Boston, MA at the Boston Opera House and in Hartford, CT at the Bushnell have been rescheduled; Ms. Brightman will perform in Boston on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 and in Hartford on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Tickets that have been purchased for Ms. Brightman's performance at PPAC are not transferrable.
