Clear Channel Spectacolor and New York Comic Con will kick off New York Super Week with the second annual "Celebrity Karaoke: A Epic Evening with the Stars," Monday, October 5, 2015 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at Hard Rock Cafe Times Square (1501 Broadway). Hosted and co-produced by Justin Guarini, currently starring in the worldpremiere musical comedy Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical, "Celebrity Karaoke" gives Comic Con and Broadway fans the opportunity to perform with a live karaoke band alongside Broadway's brightest stars. Chart-topping R&B singer/songwriter Deborah Cox will lead the roster of stars with additional performers to be announced soon. Tickets are $40 for VIP floor seats and $25 for general admission, and are now on sale via TicketWeb HERE.

Happy Birthday, Constantine Maroulis! 'American Idol' finalist Maroulis earned a 2009 Best Actor Tony Award nomination for portraying Drew, an aspiring musician with pipes of steel in the Tony-nominated musical Rock of Ages. He originated the role in the Off-Broadway production at New World Stages in 2008. He has also appeared on Broadway in The Wedding Singer, Off-Broadway in Jacques Brel..., and the national tour of RENT. He is starring in the Broadway-bound national tour of Frank Wildhorn's Jekyll & Hyde in the dual title role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde with recording artist Deborah Cox (Broadway's Aida) as Lucy.

22Q Entertainment, has announced that Academy Award Nominee & Golden Globe Winner Kathleen Turner will be stepping in as director of the world premiere Off Broadway production WOULD YOU STILL LOVE ME IF… a love story that tackles the issue of gender identity. The production will also shift gears as Grammy Nominated Singer Deborah Cox has had to step down from her role due to increasing conflicts with the play's October performance schedule. Roya Shanks will take over the role for Ms. Cox and previews will begin on Saturday, September 26th at New World Stages. The official opening is set for Saturday, October 10th.

The Pasadena Playhouse (Artistic Director Sheldon Epps) announced today that, Alison Luff (Broadway: Matilda the Musical, Scandalous, GHOST the Musical, Mamma Mia!), and Constantine Maroulis (Broadway: Rock of Ages, Jekyll & Hyde, The Wedding Singer, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas), will lead the cast of BREAKING THROUGH, a world premiere musical, with book by Kirsten Guenther, and music and lyrics by Cliff Downs and Katie Kahanovitz. The production is choreographed by Tyce Diorio and directed by Sheldon Epps. Preview performances begin October 27, 2015 with the official press opening on November 1, 2015 at The Pasadena Playhouse (39 S. El Molino Avenue in Pasadena).

Tragic news broke today that performer Danny McNie has passed away, and his friends have been posting their memories of the actor on social media all day. Broadway actress Eden Espinosa (WICKED) took to Instagram to pay tribute to her friend. Check out the photo below!
