Brent Barrett opened a 2-night run of 'Christmas Mornings' at the Broadway at Birdland concert series last night, with show-folk like David Zippel, Karen Ziemba and the legandary Julie Wilson cheering him on! The follow-up show is tonight at 7pm. These two very special concerts celebrate the release of his new holiday cd, CHRISTMAS MORNINGS.

Songwriters Charles Strouse, Alan Menken and Hal David will be among those featured in the December 8th benefit concert, SONGS OF OUR LIVES: PERFORMED BY THE SONGWRITERS WHO WROTE THEM. The concert will take place at The Little Flower Theater at LaGuardia H.S. on December 8th at 7:00pm.

It is hard to imagine that at this point in her career Liza Minnelli would be making her 'premiere' anywhere. But, on Sunday, November 15, the stage legend will in fact be making her HDNet debut, when the channel broadcasts Liza's At The Palace...! This will be the first high def televised broadcast of the show, which played Broadway's Palace Theatre from December 3, 2008 - January 4, 2009.

On what would have been Johnny Mercer's 100th birthday - November 18, 2009 - and to celebrate the 40th Anniversary season of the 92nd Street Y's American Songbook series, Lyrics & Lyricists, 92Y presents a one-night-only, all-star performance of I Remember You: A Lyrics & Lyricists Centennial Tribute to Johnny Mercer.

Delaware Ave., San Mateo). Press Night will be held Friday, September 18.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the writers for the Songwriters Showcase, which will be Co-hosted by David Zippel & Dee Hoty as well as additional casting for the eight musicals in the 21st Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20, 2009.
