'GODOTS' Tickets Available Exclusively for AmEx Members Starting 1/22

Tomorrow, January 21, tickets will go on sale exclusively to American Express Card members for Roundabout Theatre Company's upcoming Broadway production of Waiting for Godot. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents (in order of speaking) Nathan Lane (Estragon), Bill Irwin (Vladimir), John Goodman (Pozzo), David Strathairn (Lucky) and in a new Broadway production of Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett and directed by Tony? award winner Anthony Page. Waiting for Godot will begin Friday, April 3rd, 2009 and open officially on Thursday, April 30th, 2009 at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street). This will be a limited engagement. TICKET INFORMATION: Starting tomorrow, January 21, tickets will be available exclusively to American Express Card members online at www.roundabouttheatre.org, by phone at (212) 719-1300, or at the Studio 54 theatre box office (254 West 54th Street). Public on-sale begins Friday, February 6. Ticket prices range from $36.50 to $116.50. Through ACCESS Roundabout, 100 tickets will be available for the first preview performance (April 3rd) for only $10 each. The Waiting for Godot cast will also include Matthew Schechter (Boy). The design team includes Santo Loquasto (Sets), Jane Greenwood (Costumes) and Peter Kaczorowski (Lights).

Lineup Of Films Announced For 25th Sundance Film Festival

Sundance Institute announced today the lineup of films selected to screen in the U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions for the 25th Sundance Film Festival. In addition to the four Competition categories, the Festival presents films in five out-of-competition sections to be announced tomorrow. The 2009 Sundance Film Festival runs January 15-25 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah.

The Wilma Theater's free reading series, Season Teasers, returns with its first four readings of the New Year in January 2009. The series offers audiences an exclusive opportunity to hear plays - chosen from the best writing from the U.S. and abroad - which are under consideration for future Wilma seasons. Plays are read by some of Philadelphia's finest actors and cast members from the Wilma's upcoming production of Scorched, alongside special guests including Academy Award? winning actor F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus, Scarface), who will be featured in the January 12 reading of Vaclav Havel's Leaving. Each reading is followed by a lively discussion with dramaturg, Walter Bilderback.

Epic Presents 2 Shakespeare Plays With HS Students 12/11,18

New York's OBIE Award-winning Epic Theatre Ensemble (Zak Berkman, Founding producer/Artistic Director), and Epic's After School Shakespeare Program (Melissa Friedman, Founding Executive Director of Education), in conjunction with Chelsea High School and Automotive High School, will present productions of two classic Shakespeare plays featuring the students from each school: the Automotive High School production of Romeo and Juliet sponsored by Lanc?me for three performances, beginning December 11th; and the Chelsea High School production of The Winter's Tale, made possible by support from the Meringoff Family Foundation, for four performances beginning December 18th. All performances will take place at the East 13th Street Theater (136 East 13th Street).
