A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held daily for WICKED, which will be performing from January 6 - 24 at Philadelphia's Academy of Music.

The New Theater of Denmark has acquired the rights one of the greatest musical successes on Broadway and in London's West End of all time: WICKED.

The Fifth Annual Goodspeed Festival of New Artists, produced by Goodspeed Musicals' Max Showalter Center for Education in the Musical Theater, kicks off its much anticipated three day festival of brand new works on Friday, January 15, at the Goodspeed Opera House with a staged reading of Hello Out There. On Saturday, January 16, the triple feature musical ReWrite debuts.  On the final day of the festival, Lincoln in Love will be presented. Several special events will round out this exciting weekend.

Beginning performances Thursday, January 14, KATIE ROSE CLARKE will assume the role of Glinda in the Broadway production of WICKED.

Through January 10, Erin Mackey will perform the role of Glinda and Michelle Federer will perform the role of Nessarose.

A rep for the Tony Awards has revealed that The Tony Awards Administration Committee will hold its first meeting of the 2009 - 2010 season on December 10.

The 2nd National Tour of Wicked will welcome a new Boq and a new Wizard beginning December 9 in Schenectady, New York. Don Amendolia will step into the role of Wizard following Tom McGowan's exit, while Zach Hanna assumes the part of Boq from Ted Ely.

In celebration of WICKED's return to PlayhouseSquare tonight, November 18, the venue will be hosting a Young Professionals Night on Friday, December 4. Professionals ages 21 - 40 are invited to enjoy free valet parking, compliments of Lexus, at the Wyndham Cleveland hotel and a pre-show cocktail in the Wyndham's Blue Bar before watching the evening performance. After the show, the group is invited to come back to the Wyndham for the exclusive, limited access 'Defying Gravity' post-show party, sponsored by Seagram's escapes, with WICKED cast members in the 14th floor presidential suite. The post show party also includes complimentary cocktails and appetizers.
