Paley Center to Livestream All Panels at PlayFest 2012

The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will partner with Livestream to offer live streaming of all panels at PaleyFest: Fall TV Preview Parties, September 5 - 11 at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.

WAR REQUIEM, THE BLIZZARD VOICES and More Set for Oratorio Society of New York's 140th Season

The New York premiere of a poignant oratorio about a frontier tragedy and Britten's equally unsettling War Requiem frame the Oratorio Society of New York's 2012/13 concert season at Carnegie Hall. Kent Tritle will lead the 200-voice chorus, New York City's second-oldest cultural organization, in its 140th season. Also this season, the Oratorio Society will perform Handel's beloved Messiah, as it has every year since 1874. Rounding the season is the 37th annual Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition, the only competition to focus exclusively on oratorio singing.

CCM Announces Ariel Quartet 2012-13 Concert Series

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) will present the world-renowned Ariel String Quartet as part of its 2012-13 concert season, with an inaugural concert scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 11 in the intimate Robert J. Werner Recital Hall.

PRISON DANCER Wins Three NYMF Awards

Filipino musical creators Romeo Candido and Carmen de Jesus' PRISON DANCER, a new musical loosely based on the five-year-old viral video featuring the dancing inmates of Cebu, Philippines' Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, won Excellence in Choreography for its director and choreographer, Jenn Rapp; Outstanding Ensemble Performance for its all-Filipino cast led by Broadway actors Jose Llana, Catherine Ricafort, and Albert Guerzon; and Outstanding Individual Performance for Filipino Canadian actor Jeigh Madjus, who plays Lola, a cross-dresser who teaches his fellow convicts how to dance, at the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival's Awards for Excellence ceremony held last night at Hudson Terrace.

The 19th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival presents the New York premiere of Miss Lilly Gets Boned by Bekah Brunstetter, starring Jessica Dickey (Wit on Broadway, The Amish Project) and Liz Wisan (Other Desert Cities), along with Brian Belcinski (My Base and Scurvy Heart), Adam Blodgett (The Cotillion), Sanam Erfani (Cats Don't Grin), Aaron McDaniel (Aquila's Macbeth), David Rosenblatt (The Play About My Dad) and Chris Thorn (Guthrie's Henry V). The play, directed by David F. Chapman, opens tonight, July 18 and continues through July 21, 2012. Check out photos from the production below!

WIT's Jessica Dickey and OTHER DESERT CITIES' Liz Wisan Set for MISS LILLY GETS BONED at Ice Factory Festival, 7/18-21

Artistic Director Robert Lyons announced today casting for two shows in the 19th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival. Ice Factory 2012 takes place at the New Ohio Theatre's new West Village space at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Jessica Dickey (Wit on Broadway, The Amish Project) and Liz Wisan (Other Desert Cities) will star in the New York Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's Miss Lilly Gets Boned along with Brian Belcinski (My Base and Scurvy Heart), Adam Blodgett (The Cotillion), Sanam Erfani (Cats Don't Grin), Aaron McDaniel (Aquila's Macbeth), David Rosenblatt (The Play About My Dad) and Chris Thorn (Guthrie's Henry V).
