When late last year BroadwayWorld.com announced its 2015 New York Cabaret Award nominees for "Best Alt Cabaret Show," Raquel Cion was named a finalist for her stunning show Me & Mr. Jones: My Intimate Relationship with David Bowie for performances that generated standing ovations from SRO crowds at The Slipper Room, 167 Orchard Street. After Bowie's death in January, Cion decided to bring back a revised version of Me & Mr. Jones . . . to the popular Lower East Side burlesque/variety club, for a three-show run that launched on March 24 and will continue with shows at The Slipper Room on April 21 and May 15 at 8 pm.

 Celebrating its fifth anniversary season, Trainor Dance showcases its signature luscious movement in a two-night performance series September 18-19 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater in New York City. With a quartet of works as varied as the sound palette, the program features two audience favorites spanning 2012-14 by the company's founder/artistic director Caitlin Trainor as well as two world premieres, each with a distinctive feel, high physicality, and classical sensibility. DRAGON'S BREATH premieres at the 18th Annual New York International Fringe Festival on August 9th. Playwright, Michael C. O'Day makes his writing debut with this production. As an actor, he has appeared at the Public Theatre, Classical Theatre of Harlem, and the Paper Mill Playhouse, among other venues - most recently Judson Arts in the acclaimed revival of The Bonus Army. DRAGON'S BREATH is directed by Mikaela Kafka, known for her directing work with Centenary Stage and NJ Dramatists.

Cabaret opened on Thursday, April 24 to rave reviews.

Jonathan Tolins, the author of Buyer & Cellar, will be a panelist on the Metropolitan Opera Quiz during the first intermission of this week's broadcast of Die Fledermaus. The new production of Strauss's operetta is performed in English with new dialogue by Broadway playwright Douglas Carter Beane, and features Tony Award winner Danny Burstein in the comic role of Frosch the jailer. This will be Tolins's second appearance on the Quiz after making his debut a year ago. Buyer & Cellar continues its record-breaking run at the Barrow Street Theatre off-Broadway and is currently selling tickets through April 13. The show will be produced later this year in Chicago, Los Angeles, and other cities to be announced.

On the heels of successfully producing critically acclaimed runs of three productions at La MaMa E.T.C. (What If? - A Musical Concert, DIE - An Existential Comedy & Under The Veil - Being Muslim and Non-Muslin in America post 9/11), Mind The Art Entertainment is teaming up with Robert R. Blume to produce the U.S. premiere of Spellbound- A Musical Adventure at the New York International Fringe Festival (August 3 - 29, 2010).

Coal Creek Community Theater of Louisville, CO presents Voice of the Prairie, written by John Olive and directed by Linda Orr. The play, spanning three decades, from 1895, through the early days of radio in 1923, centers on the adventures of Davey Quinn and Frankie, the Blind Girl, as re-told some 30 years later by the now middle-aged David Quinn. Quinn becomes famous sending his stories into the 'Ethernet' through the infant industry of radio as 'The Voice of the Prairie.' Frankie hears Davey?s stories and reenters his life as the FCC threatens them all for broadcasting without a license.
