710 Main Theatre Sets 2016-17 Season

  The 710 Main Theatre presents the 2016 - 17 Frey Electric Construction Co. Season with a diverse mix of programming including collaborations with two  local theatre companies as well as a brand new partnership with the Shaw Festival to present a production at the 710 Main Theatre. 

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble Returning to the MAC for 2016-17 Season

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE) returns this fall to the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd. located on the campus of College of DuPage for the 30th Anniversary of the company's founding. The professional Equity company will resume its place as the MAC's resident theater company. The MAC is also home to the professional orchestra, New Philharmonic. For BTE season updates and ticket information will be available at AtTheMAC.org in the coming weeks. 'It's been a long hard struggle since the Ensemble went on hiatus in May 2014,' says BTE Artistic Director Connie Canaday Howard. 'But thanks to the tireless efforts of my fellow Ensemble members, Associate Artistic Director Amelia Barrett and the students, patrons and friends who advocated so strongly for us, BTE is now poised to begin an exciting new chapter in its life.'

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, is proud to announce full casting for both the World Premiere play, American Son, winner of the prestigious Laurents/Hatcher Award for Best New Play of 2016, and Kimberly Akimbo.

Frank Langella-Led THE FATHER get One Week Extension at Manhattan Theatre Club

Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of The Father, the new play by Moliere Award winner Florian Zeller, with a translation by two-time Tony Award winner Christopher Hampton (Sunset Boulevard, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, God of Carnage) and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt, Outside Mullingar, City of Conversation) will extend by one week at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The limited engagement, which opened on April 14 to critical raves, has been extended through Sunday, June 19.

August Wilson's JITNEY and COST OF LIVING Added to MTC's 2016-17 Season

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have just announced two additional productions as part of Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2016-2017 season: The Broadway premiere of August Wilson's Jitney, directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson and the New York Premiere of Cost of Living, written by Martyna Majok and directed by Jo Bonney, in association with Williamstown Theatre Festival, Mandy Greenfield Artistic Director. Cost of Living will have its World Premiere at Williamstown Theatre Festival on the Nikos Stage from June 29 to July 10, 2016.
