Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have just announced that Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon will star in Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan.

John Rando (Tony and Outer Critics Award winner for Urinetown) directs production starring Arnie Burton (Flesh and Bone) as Jonathan, Emily Robinson (Transparent) as Tessa, Jon Tenney (The Closer, Major Crimes, Scandal) as Jack, and Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein, Ira & Abby, Friends With Kids) as Jen.

Bay Street Theater has announced the full cast and creative team for THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO, the Tony Award-winning play by Alfred Uhry, directed by Will Pomerantz. The production will run June 28 - July 24.

Season tickets are now on sale for the Theatre Group at SBCC's 2016 season of 4 plays.   The season begins July 15-30, 2016 in the Garvin Theatre with the hilarious comedy, and winner of the 2013 Tony Award, VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE by Christopher Durang.

It is truly a pleasure seeing Shrek, The Musical. Based on the sure-to-be-classic DreamWorks Animation motion picture, the superb incarnation at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson boasts a truly remarkable cast. Running through June 25th, Jeffrey Sanzel wonderfully directs the large, talented company that is led by Danny Stalter - in his Theatre Three debut - as our favorite green ogre.

  The 710 Main Theatre presents the 2016 - 17 Frey Electric Construction Co. Season with a diverse mix of programming including collaborations with two  local theatre companies as well as a brand new partnership with the Shaw Festival to present a production at the 710 Main Theatre. 

The Family Favorite Shrek the Musical will open on June 10th at the Terrace Plaza Playhouse. This feel good show is set to be performed June 10th - July 30th Monday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm. This production brings to life all of your favorite characters from the Animated Movie 'Shrek.' Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE) returns this fall to the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd. located on the campus of College of DuPage for the 30th Anniversary of the company's founding. The professional Equity company will resume its place as the MAC's resident theater company. The MAC is also home to the professional orchestra, New Philharmonic. For BTE season updates and ticket information will be available at AtTheMAC.org in the coming weeks. 'It's been a long hard struggle since the Ensemble went on hiatus in May 2014,' says BTE Artistic Director Connie Canaday Howard. 'But thanks to the tireless efforts of my fellow Ensemble members, Associate Artistic Director Amelia Barrett and the students, patrons and friends who advocated so strongly for us, BTE is now poised to begin an exciting new chapter in its life.'

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, is proud to announce full casting for both the World Premiere play, American Son, winner of the prestigious Laurents/Hatcher Award for Best New Play of 2016, and Kimberly Akimbo.

Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of The Father, the new play by Moliere Award winner Florian Zeller, with a translation by two-time Tony Award winner Christopher Hampton (Sunset Boulevard, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, God of Carnage) and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt, Outside Mullingar, City of Conversation) will extend by one week at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The limited engagement, which opened on April 14 to critical raves, has been extended through Sunday, June 19.

Sloan Foundation, announces the upcoming Sloan Panel Discussion on INCOGNITO, which will be held following tonight's May 17 performance of the play at MTC at New York City Center-Stage I (131 West 55th Street), and is open to anyone attending the evening's performance.

Sometimes it seems there is so much theater happening that it's difficult to keep track of it all. From personal experience, despite all the datebooks, smart phones, tablets, desktop computers and laptops...it's hard to keep everything straight in this wacky business of the show.
