Macdonald got his start in the industry writing for 'Roseanne' and 'The Dennis Miller Show' before earning a spot on the 'SNL' writing staff in 1993. Soon after, 'SNL' creator Lorne Michaels gave Macdonald an opportunity to read on-air editorials during 'Weekend Update' and within a year, he became the anchor of the popular segment. Macdonald was also well-known for his impressions of Burt Reynolds and Bob Dole on the show in addition to his 'Weekend Update' performances.

INSPIRATIONAL BROADWAY - an evening of Broadway, R&B, Gospel, and Pop classics featuring Broadway's brightest lights and an ensemble of uplifting voices - has added special guest stars Adam Pascal, Eden Espinosa, Telly Leung and Jarrod Spector. The concert takes place at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on February 15, 2016 at 7:30 PM (Doors at 6:00 PM). Michael McElroy and The Broadway Inspirational Voices will be joined by previously-announced performers Billy Porter, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Joshua Henry and Marcus Paul James. The music will be performed with the signature soul and innovative musical arrangements of the Grammy-nominated Broadway Inspirational Voices. This event will help benefit the BIV Outreach Program. RCA Nashville's Chris Young made his third trip to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform the Billboard Top Country Airplay chart three-week #1 single and title track from his newly released album, I'm Comin' Over. Young celebrated the milestone seventh chart-topper with a performance on the popular daytime show yesterday, and the clip has earned over 1.4 million views in under 24 hours on the show's Facebook page.
