American Masters: The Boomer List, premiering nationwide tonight, September 23, 9-10:30 p.m. on PBS (check local listings), tells the story of this influential generation through the lives of 19 iconic boomers-one born each year of the baby boom-including New Age guru Deepak Chopra (b. 1947), singer-songwriter Billy Joel (b. 1949), fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger (b. 1951), author Amy Tan (b. 1952), actor Kim Cattrall (b. 1956), environmentalist Erin Brockovich (b. 1960) and artist David LaChapelle (b. 1963).

American Masters: The Boomer List explores the story of the influential baby boomer generation (1946-1964) through the lives of 19 iconic boomers--one born each year of the baby boom. Subjects including Samuel L. Jackson, Billy Joel, Tommy Hilfiger, Amy Tan, Maria Shriver, Kim Cattrall, Erin Brockovich, Rosie O'Donnell, David LaChapelle and John Leguizamo illuminate the important movements and changes that shaped the world during these years. The Barbican today announced a stellar program of events for spring and summer 2014, pushing the boundaries of all major art forms for its diverse audiences. This new program builds on the most successful year ever for the Barbican, with attendances for events at the Centre exceeding 1 million for the first time, an increase of 36% on 2011/12. In this Olympics year, box office receipts also rose 33%, and the Barbican's commercial income increased by 35%.

The Brooklyn Museum will be the only East Coast venue for The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, the first international exhibition of this celebrated French couturier's work. On view in Brooklyn from today, October 25, 2013, through February 23, 2014, this spectacular overview of Gaultier's extensive oeuvre will include exclusive material not exhibited in previous venues of the tour, such as pieces from his recent haute couture and ready-to-wear collections and stage costumes worn by Beyonce.

Ensler will also read excerpts from her new book 'In the Body of the World;' Jamie Ann Romero and LOCAL Company member Rachel Fowler will perform pieces from Ensler's 'The Good Body;' Courtney Thomas of the Off-Broadway production of Ensler's 'Emotional Creatures' will perform a piece from Ensler's most recent play; Los Angeles dance pioneer Miss Prissy will introduce Boulder to krump; and throughout the night DJ Savior Breath rides the turntables-- all followed by a complimentary wine and dessert after-party.
