BCP Screens SUMMER OF '42 Ahead of Musical Adaptation's Premiere Today

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has announced that it will screen the 1971 film Summer of '42 directed by Robert Mulligan (To Kill A Mockingbird) ahead of its premiere of the musical adaptation. The free screening will take place today, July 8th at 6:00 PM at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street, New Hope, PA).

MARRY HARRY is an official selection of the 2013 New York Musical Theatre and will be presented by the New York Musical Theatre Festival. MARRY HARRY has a book by Jennifer Robbins, music by Dan Martin, lyrics by Michael Biello, music direction by Christopher McGovern, choreography by Wendy Seyb, and is directed by Kent Nicholson. MARRY HARRY will play at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center, beginning July 19 - July 28. Featuring a book by Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster (Little Shop of Horrors) and music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum (Vanities), Summer of '42 is based upon the novel and screenplay by Herman Raucher. Tony Award nominee Lonny Price (A Class Act) makes his directorial return to the Bucks County Playhouse following A Grand Night for Singing, the first show of last year's grand re-opening.
