Pace University Announces DANCE OUT LOUD! With Rhonda Miller, 4/29-30

Conceived and directed by Rhonda Miller, Director/Lecturer of Dance at Pace, this concert will feature choreography by Rhonda Miller, Joshua Dean, Alisa Paradowski, Jennifer Littlefield, Stephanie Torbik, Mike Schulster, Lauren Gaul, Allison Easter and student choreographers Ashley Williams, Courtney Taylor, Matthew Cullen and Christina Fuschetto.

Bud Martin will direct the private reading of the play which was first seen in a co-production between ACT II PLAYHOUSE, Ambler, PA and THEATRE EXILE, Philadelphia, PA. Any Given Monday was the recipient of the 2010 Barrymore Award for Best New Play.

Neil Patrick Harris, Stacey Keach, et al. Set for Ojai Playwrights Conference Benefit, 3/26

The Ojai Playwrights Conference launches its 14th season with its annual Benefit Gala themed 'Substance of Desire' - a celebration of love, lust and laughter in the plays of Jon Robin Baitz. Scheduled for Saturday, March 26, 2011, the Benefit begins at 5:30 pm at Matilija Auditorium with a dramatic event created especially for this evening. The all- star cast includes David Burtka, Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met your Mother), Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), Stacy Keach (Lights Out), Ron Rifkin (Brothers & Sisters), Steven Weber (Wings), Noah Wyle (ER) and others to be announced. Following the show, the festivities continue at St. Thomas Aquinas Hall with music, martinis, a gourmet dinner prepared by celebrity chef Michael Hollingsworth, the 2011 OPC Awards, and a live auction featuring fabulous trips and entertainment packages.

David Hyde Pierce to Narrate YOUNG PEOPLE'S GUIDE TO THE ORCHESTRA, 7/29

The 2011 Season of The Philadelphia Orchestra at SPAC will feature many firsts including award winning actor and Saratoga Springs native David Hyde Pierce joining us to narrate the orchestra's performance of Britten's classic, A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, an evening with Grammy winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis, and a full screening of classic film Casablanca with a live orchestral performance of the film's score.

David Hyde Pierce to Perform with Philadelphia Orchestra at Saratoga PAC, 7/29

Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce will appear with the Philadelphia Orchestra to narrate Benjamin Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, in Saratoga Springs, NY, on July 29 at 8pm. In addition, the roster of events will include an evening with Grammy winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis, and a full screening of classic film Casablanca with a live orchestral performance of the film's score.

Calvin Remsberg to Direct Los Angeles Premiere of GLORY DAYS Opening 3/19

Bella Vita Entertainment, with Anthony Gruppuso, Calvin Remsberg, and Tricia Stabile announces the Los Angeles premiere of Glory Days. Glory Days has music and lyrics by Nick Blaemire and book by James Gardiner, and will be directed by Calvin Remsberg. Glory Days will preview at 8 pm on Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18 with opening night at 8:00 pm on Saturday, March 19 and run through April 24 (Thursday through Sunday) at the Lillian Theatre.

Broadway Stage Manager Beverley Randolph Dies at 59

Veteran Production Stage Manager Beverley Randolph died Tuesday, March 15 at her home in Bloomingdale, NJ, surrounded by family and friends. The cause was cancer. The highly-respected Randolph, 59, stage managed more than 20 Broadway productions over the course of a 30-plus year career. At the time of her death and since 2009, she was Production Supervisor for the musical The Addams Family. Her credits include the Kander & Ebb musical Curtains, the musical Little Women, the 2002 revival of Into the Woods, the 1998 revival of The Sound of Music, Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning best musical Passion, Kander & Ebb's The Kiss of the Spider Woman, William Finn's Falsettos, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Follies in Concert at Avery Fisher Hall, the 1987 revival of Kander & Ebb's Cabaret and Neil Simon's Chapter Two. In the 1980's, she stage managed eight Broadway productions for legendary producer/director Hal Prince.

Sure to out-do last year's collection, 43 one-of-a-kind, autographed BROADWAY BEARS - each dressed in original, handmade costumes representing some of the theater's most legendary performers and performances - will be put up for auction.
