David Harrower's BLACKBIRD, the Olivier Award-winning drama starring Jeff Daniels and Michelle Williams opens tonight, Thursday, March 10, at the Belasco Theatre on Broadway. The production, directed by Joe Mantello, will continue its 18-week limited engagement through June 11.

The National Theatre of Great Britain's North American wing (Tim Levy, Producer) in collaboration with Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian, Tom Wirtshafter, and Patrick Daly have announced the North American premiere of playwright Lucy Prebble's award-winning new play The Effect. With direction by David Cromer, the entirely American production of The Effect will open at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street at 7th Avenue) in March 2016. The Edinburgh-based theatre companies and performers who will present work at this year's Traverse Hothouse showcase are set. They are Urban Fox, Heather Marshall, Melanie Jordan & Caitlin Skinner and Trig Point. They will perform their work in Traverse 2 this week, 10 - 13 November. The pieces are at various stages of development and audience input is being sought by the artists as part of their development process.
