Abrons Arts Center continues its 100th anniversary celebration of The Playhouse with the world premiere of five-time OBIE recipient David Greenspan's I'm Looking for Helen Twelvetrees. For over three decades, Greenspan has been omnipresent on New York City stages, from Bushwick to Broadway, and is beloved for his magnetic performances and his richly theatrical writing style. The New York Times has called Greenspan, "a theatrical conjurer of rare gifts," and fellow writer Tony Kushner considers him "all-round the most talented theater artist of [his] generation.'
MCC THEATER has announced complete casting for the New York premiere of Jennifer Haley's The Nether directed by Anne Kaufman. Ben Rosenfield, memorably of the final two seasons of "Boardwalk Empire," and rising talent Sophia Anne Caruso will take on the roles of Woodnut and Iris, respectively. As previously announced, The Nether will also star "Nurse Jackie" Emmy Award winner Merritt Wever, New York theater veteran Peter Friedman and Tony Award winner Frank Wood.

After a national search, Playwrights Horizons announced today the appointment of Kyle Sircus as the institution's new Director of Marketing. Beginning Monday, September 22, Mr. Sircus will join the acclaimed theater company direct from Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, CA, where he currently serves as Marketing Manager, a position created especially for him in July 2012. Mr. Sircus will lead the theater company's seven-person Marketing Department.
