World Premiere of Terrence McNally's AND AWAY WE GO Extends thru Dec 21 at The Pearl

The Pearl Theatre Company continues its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with the world premiere of And Away We Go by four-time Tony Award-winner Terrence McNally. In his first play written for an ensemble of actors, McNally celebrates the classics, acting companies and The Pearl itself.

As previously announced, Red Bull Theater will present two RUSSIAN READINGS by Vladimir Nabokov and Alexander Ostrovsky on December 9 and December 16 as part of its OBIE Award-winning Revelation Readings Series. Today, the all-star casts for the two readings have been announced, boasting a roster which includes Jonathan Groff, Tovah Feldshuh, Stephen Spinella, and more.

Rebecca Brooksher, Eric Martin Brown & More to Lead Red Bull Theater's LOOT; Full Cast Announced

Red Bull Theater presents the first-ever Off Broadway revival of Loot by Joe Orton. Red Bull Artistic Director Jesse Berger directs a company that includes Rebecca Brooksher (Fay), Eric Martin Brown (Meadows), Jarlath Conroy (McLeavy), Ryan Garbayo (Dennis), Rocco Sisto (Truscott), and Nick Westrate (Hal). Loot will have scenic design by Narelle Sissons, costume design by Sara Jean Tosetti, lighting design by Scott Zielinski, and sound design by Brad Berridge.

Bushwick Starr to Present THE ARGUMENT & PLAYS, 12/19-21

The Bushwick Starr will present an evening of two short works performed by award-winning and treasured actor, David Greenspan. Based on Aristotle's Poetics and the essays of Gerald F. Else, The Argument is a passionate student's love-letter and farewell to his teacher -- reminding us of the personal pathos that binds us to the Greeks, and firing us to capture that chimera, art. Plays is Gertrude Stein's whimsical and provocative lecture on theatre; a hidden gem of theatricality and wit that only Stein could have delivered. *The Argument was first presented by Target Margin Theater, and Plays was first presented by The Foundry Theatre.

Jessica Hecht, Dominic Fumusa and More to Star in STAGE KISS at Playwrights Horizons; Previews Begin Feb 7

Playwrights Horizons has announced initial casting for the New York premiere production of STAGE KISS, a new play marking the eagerly-awaited return of two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl(Dead Man's Cell Phone at PH; The Clean House, In the Next Room...) to the theater company. Directed by Rebecca Taichman (Milk Like Sugar at PH; the current Marie Antoinette, Orlando, The Scene, Luck of the Irish), the production will begin previews Friday evening, February 7 at 8PM with an Opening Night set for Sunday, March 2 at 7PM. The limited engagement will play through Sunday evening, March 23 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

DTC to Launch DTC Book Club with OEDIPUS EL REY, 1/16

Dallas Theater Center announced today a new program for the 2013-14 season, DTC Book Club hosted by DTC Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty. DTC Book Club events are scheduled to take place with productions of Oedipus el Rey, The Fortress of Solitude, Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure and Les Miserables. The York Theatre Company launches its 2013-14 season with a special concert presentation of the musical Six Wives, with Book and Lyrics by Joe Masteroff and Music by Edward Thomas tonight. Directed by David Green, and with Music Direction by Dennis Buck, the five member cast features Nick Wyman and Claybourne Elder, with Judy Kaye and Alexander Silber as the six wives, and Alexander Gemignani playing Henry VIII.

Record Year for Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Fundraising and Ticket Sales

CHICAGO—The Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association (CSOA) released its fiscal year 2013 results at its Annual Meeting today at Symphony Center. The 2012/13 season marked the CSOA's third consecutive year of record-breaking fundraising, with ticket sales at an all-time high, according to Jay Henderson, chairman, and Deborah F. Rutter, president of the CSOA, who also presented the artistic and financial highlights of the season.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director) launches its 2013-14 season with a special concert presentation of the musical Six Wives, with Book and Lyrics by Joe Masteroff and Music by Edward Thomas. Directed by David Green, and with Music Direction by Dennis Buck, the five member cast will feature Nick Wyman and Liam Forde, who replaces the previously announced Claybourne Elder, with Judy Kaye and Alexander Silber as the six wives, and Alexander Gemignani playing Henry VIII. The one-night only concert event will be held tonight, October 28, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Playwrights Horizons Closes MR. BURNS, A POST-ELECTRIC PLAY Today

Playwrights Horizons presents its New York premiere production of Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play, a new play by Anne Washburn, with music by Obie Award winner Michael Friedman. Directed by Steve Cosson, the Obie Award-winning Artistic Director of The Civilians, Mr. Burns is being presented as the first production of Playwrights Horizons' 2013/2014 Season.

Soho Rep Extends MARIE ANTOINETTE Through 11/24

In response to popular demand, Soho Rep. announces a second extension of the New York premiere of David Adjmi's award-winning Marie Antoinette, directed by Rebecca Taichman, to November 24. Marie Antoinette brings Marin Ireland back to the theater where she won immense acclaim in Sarah Kane's Blasted. A previously announced performance on Sunday, Nov 17 at 7:30pm has been cancelled while a performance on Sunday, Nov 17 at 3pm has been added.

The reading will be directed by Michael Sexton.
