N.C. Symphony to Welcome The Hot Sardines for Summerfest Finale, 7/9

Cary's Booth Amphitheatre will come alive with the hot sounds of the New York City-based band the Hot Sardines on Thursday, July 9, at 7:30 p.m., in the season finale of the 2015  Rex Healthcare Summerfest Series.  Gates open for the concert series at 5:30 p.m.  Children 12 and under are free on the lawn.  The North Carolina Symphony is presenting, but will not perform at the concert.

N.C. Symphony Presents AN EVENING OF BROADWAY Tonight at Rex Healthcare Summerfest

The North Carolina Symphony, led by Associate Conductor David Glover, will perform two great evenings of music from stage and screen at the 2015 Rex Healthcare Summerfest Series tonight, June 19 and Saturday June 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Cary's Booth Amphitheatre. Gates open for the concert series at 5:30 p.m. Children 12 and under are free on the lawn.

Karina Canellakis Leads Russian Festival at N.C. Symphony Summerfest This Weekend

The North Carolina Symphony, led by guest conductor Karina Canellakis, will perform a two-night Russian Festival that features two different programs of some of classical music's greatest works at the 2015 Rex Healthcare Summerfest Series today, June 12 and Saturday June 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Cary's Booth Amphitheatre. Gates open for the concert series at 5:30 p.m. Children 12 and under are free on the lawn.

The North Carolina Symphony launches its 2015 Rex Healthcare Summerfest Series at Cary's Booth Amphitheatre today, May 23, at 7:30 p.m., with a concert program that features pianist Timo Andres performing Gershwin's incomparable Rhapsody in Blue, the orchestra's performance of Dvo?ak's New World Symphony, and other works by Copland and Sousa that feature "citizen musicians" as they join the orchestra.

The North Carolina Symphony's popular summer outdoor concerts return for another season, as the 2015 Rex Healthcare Summerfest Series brings great music for relaxed listening to Cary's Booth Amphitheatre May 23 through July 9. This summer marks the 30th anniversary of performances in Cary and the orchestra's 15th season in the stunning lakeside pavilion built by the Town of Cary, a major sponsor of Summerfest.

The North Carolina Symphony will perform Antonin Dvorak's New World Symphony tonight, Jan. 23, 2015 and Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at 8 p.m. in Meymandi Concert Hall in the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh. The concerts, led by Carlos Miguel Prieto, will also include Manuel de Falla's 'Three-Cornered Hat,' featuring mezzo-soprano Kate Farrar.

The North Carolina Symphony will pay tribute to two of the most beloved performers of the 20th century with Louis and Ella: All That Jazz, which will feature the music of Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald performed by trumpeter and vocalist Byron Stripling and vocalist Marva Hicks, with drummer Robert Breithaupt. The Symphony concerts, which will be led by Associate Conductor David Glover, will take place in Meymandi Concert Hall in downtown Raleigh, tonight, Jan. 16, and Saturday, Jan. 17, at 8 p.m. each night.
