The North American tour of the Tony Award - nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof in underway. A beloved theatrical classic from Tony-winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize-winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, Fiddler on the Roof is directed by Tony-Award winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, The King and I) and choreographed by the acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter.

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer, Tyler Childers, won “Emerging Artist of the Year” at last night's Americana Music Association Honors & Awards.

John Prine won “Artist of the Year” at last night's Americana Music Honors & Awards. This is Prine's third time receiving the prestigious award following previous wins in 2017 and 2005.  

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Tyler Childers will embark on an extensive, nationwide tour this fall with headline performances in his largest rooms and venues to date. Stops include Brooklyn's Brooklyn Bowl, Philadelphia's Union Transfer, Washington D.C.'s 9:30 Club, San Francisco's The Fillmore and L.A.'s The Troubadour among several others. Tyler Childers is nominated for “Emerging Artist of the Year” at the 2018 Americana Music Association Honors & Awards. The annual awards show will take place on September 12 at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.

BC BEAT, an evening that sells out and is yet intimate, dynamic, and playful, continues to stimulate new collaboration between choreographers, performers, directors, composers, and producers like no other event in New York City. Just ask Patrick McCollum. He was introduced to Steven Hoggett as a possible performer for his BC BEAT piece in 2011. Following their BC BEAT process, McCollum worked nonstop with Hoggett as an Associate Broadway Choreographer and this year, made his Broadway choreographic debut with THE BAND'S VISIT. McCollum is one of the many Broadway artists who have performed and choreographed at BC BEAT and have made the most of the opportunity at hand.

Childers performed “Lady May” from his acclaimed debut album, Purgatory, as well as two previously unreleased tracks, “Nose to the Grindstone” and “22nd Winter.” Of the set, NPR Music's Lars Gotrich declares, “Tyler Childers writes songs about hard lives and hard love with direct heart. You meet these characters—some from his own life, some not—and feel like you know them, but there's always another layer to uncover with each listen, carved by his coarse and soulful Kentucky drawl.”

Broadway Dance Lab (BDL), a choreographic incubator supporting new works of dance-driven theatre, has announced that Brook Wendle (Paramour, Gossip Girl), Caleb Teicher (Dance Magazine's 25 to Watch ), Abdul Latif (Lincoln Center Institute artist-in-residence), and Katie Rose McLaughlin (Designated Movement Company), will join artistic director Josh Prince as choreographers for the company's Fall 2017 Cycle. The Lab is set to begin on Oct. 30, and will run through Dec. 15.

Tyler Childers' Purgatory debuts this week at #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart with over 6,000 equivalent albums sold. The album also lands at #17 on the Country Albums chart and #4 on the Americana/Folk Albums chart.

Tyler Childers' anticipated official debut album, Purgatory, is out today on Hickman Holler Records via Thirty Tigers (purchase here). Recorded at Nashville's The Butcher Shoppe studio, the 10-song record was produced by Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson and is already receiving overwhelming critical acclaim.
