AMERICAN IDOL Recap: Viewers' Choices Make Tough Night for IDOL Top-5, Ariana Grande Surprises Finalist (Updated w/ pictures)
by Matt Tamanini - May 1, 2014

Well, now it's time to get serious. AMERICAN IDOL has navigated through a tumultuous Season XIII to get down to a fairly acceptable Top-5. Perhaps last week's goodbye to the tonally deficient C.J. With the obvious negligence of 'full-time' mentor Randy Jackson, it is staggering to see how much progress can be made with a mentor who is actively engaged in helping the finalists become better singers, performers, and artists.
