Dead Darlings is back this month on April 12 for COMRADES Edition at Judson Memorial Church.

Acclaimed Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons will hold its annual Spring Gala on Monday evening, May 8 at the event space 583 Park Avenue. Titled A CELEBRATION OF SONG, the evening will honor three of the company's exceptional alumni writers: Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens and Far From Heaven at Playwrights), Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens and Far From Heaven at Playwrights) and Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife and Grey Gardens at Playwrights).

On Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 7:30pm, Works & Process at the Guggenheim offers a behind-the-scenes look at WAR PAINT, the new musical by librettist Doug Wright, composer Scott Frankel, lyricist Michael Korie, and director Michael Greif in advance of the Broadway opening on April 6, 2017.

About Face Theatre is pleased to launch its 2016-17 Season with a reimagining of Doug Wright's I AM MY OWN WIFE, the Tony, Pulitzer Prize and Lambda Literary Award-winning play first developed at AFT back in 2003. Traditionally staged as a one-person play performed by a male actor, Artistic Director Andrew Volkoff's new exploration will feature transgender actress Delia Kropp with three additional actors. I AM MY OWN WIFE will play November 4 - December 10, 2016 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. War Paint has become the most successful musical in Goodman Theatre's history, extended (for a second and final time) through August 21.

Aurora Theatre Company will present their third annual summer outdoor musical for 8 performances in August. ATC's version of the show will vividly bring to life Dickens' timeless characters, from Oliver the orphan boy who dares ask for "more" to the Artful Dodger, the kind-hearted Nancy mischievous Fagin, and the sinister Bill Sikes. Audiences will join Oliver as he navigates the streets of 19 th century London, on a search for love, family and his place in the world. The Tony Award-winning boisterous, high energy musical with Book, Music and Lyrics by Lionel Bart will feature a cast of 22 local actors: Jaryn Lasentia, Marcus Wolf, Gloria Lee Alcala, John Klise, Kyle Spens, David Clement, Dan Munro, Margaret West, Joshua Barret, Julee Felts, Taryn Keller, Monika Bauer, David Breyman, Bonnie Cahill, Sunga Rose, StaggerLee Cole, Audrey Herold, Phillip Meader Yetter, Mila Gatterson, Nicholas Spencer, Cameron Merkle and Cory Maxwell.

Goodman Theatre announces Broadway stars John Dossett and Douglas Sills will join the cast of War Paint, a new musical starring two-time Tony Award winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole as Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden, respectively. Dossett will portray Tommy Lewis, Miss Arden's husband and chief marketing officer, and Sills will portray the ambitious Harry Fleming, Madame Rubinstein's clubby confidante and faithful ally.

Directed by Amy Corcoran and starring Drama Desk nominee Vince Gatton, the play will be performed in and among the furniture, art, clothing and taxidermy of RePOP (143 Roebling St., Brooklyn, NY 11211), Williamsburg's noted vintage shop. Performances begin tonight, September 23 and will run through October 4. I Am My Own Wife will perform Todays through Sundays at 7:30 p.m.

Yaddo has announced that the second annual Yaddo Artist Medal will be presented to influential avant-garde composer and performance artist Laurie Anderson at its New York City Benefit on Monday, June 1, 2015. The event at the Tribeca Rooftop (2 Desbrosses St.) will be hosted by actor/director Steve Buscemi and Kate Valk of The Wooster Group. Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar, Obie Award winner Eisa Davis, and Obie Award winner Young Jean Lee-all Yaddo Artists-will perform.

Atlantic Theater Company presents the world premiere of Posterity, written and directed by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Doug Wright and featuring Hamish Linklater, John Noble, Dale Soules, Henry Stram and Mickey Theis.
