The Pulitzer Prize-winning play A Streetcar Named Desire follows the story of Blanche DuBois, a weak and disturbed woman on a desperate prowl for some place in the world to call her own. After losing their ancestral home, Belle Reve, Blanche shows up at the doorstep of her sister, Stella, in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Putting on airs of refinement and Southern gentility, Blanche tries to impress her brother-in-law, and his gentle, good-natured friend, Mitch. Seeking to escape from reality, and an emblem of a lost traditional South, Blanche becomes a victim of the harsh present. Marlon Brando starred in the Broadway production and the 4-time Academy Award-winning film adaptation. This will mark the 65th Anniversary of this enduring Tennessee Williams classic.

EVITA opened last night, April 5, at the Marquis Theatre and hosted a star-studded after party following the curtain. The company of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's landmark musical is led by Ricky Martin as Che, Elena Roger in her Broadway debut as Eva Perón and Michael Cerveris as Juan Perón, along with Max von Essen as Migaldi and Rachel Potter as the Mistress.

A long-standing opening night tradition on the Great White Way, the fabled Gypsy Robe is bestowed upon a veteran Broadway chorus member for each opening production. In what has now become a theatrical ritual, originating on Broadway 60 years ago, the latest recipient was EVITA cast member Matt Wall at EVITA's opening night, last night, April 5, at the Marquis Theatre.

HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, now playing the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, is currently starring Nick Jonas, Michael Urie and Beau Bridges. Production shots of the trio have been released and below BroadwayWorld brings you a first look!

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that critically acclaimed Broadway actress Rachel York will star as "Reno Sweeney" in the national tour of the 2011 Tony® Award winning Anything Goes. Presented by Roundabout Theatre Company, the national tour will set sail in Cleveland this fall. Anything Goes is the winner of three Tony® Awards including Best Musical Revival.

The new musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT announced today that a limited number of $36.50 student rush tickets will be available for purchase in-person at the Imperial Theatre box office (249 West 45th Street) when it opens for that day's performance only. There is a limit of one ticket per person with a valid student ID. Tickets are subject to availability and may not be offered at all performances. Seat locations may be partial view.

Lisa Lampanelli, Comedy's Loveable Queen of Mean, will release Equal Opportunity Offender: The Best of Lisa Lampanelli, her first greatest hits compilation, on April 17th, 2012. The album, which is available now for pre-order, collects all-time favorite riffs from the woman Howard Stern calls 'a true original and a brilliant comedy mind.'
