CBS Gives Late Series Order to BAD TEACHER

CBS has thrown a programming curveball, and granted a late series order to the single-camera comedy BAD TEACHER for the 2013-2014 season.

James Spader to Star Opposite Meryl Streep & Tommy Lee Jones in THE HOMESMAN

Tommy Lee Jones is bent on signing an all-star cast for his upcoming period film THE HOMESMAN. According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Spader is the latest actor to join the movie, which Jones will direct, write, produce, and star in. Spader also joins Meryl Streep, her daughter Grace Gummer, Hilary Swank, Miranda Otto, and Tim Blake Nelson.

FX's TOTALLY BIASED to Go From Weekly to Nightly Series

FX has gotten decidedly more biased, taking its late night comedy series Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell from weekly to a five-night a week late night strip this Fall with the launch of FXX. It was announced today by Nick Grad, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Development, FX Networks.
