Lin-Manuel Miranda's latest musical, Hamilton has recently moved into the Richard Rodgers theatre in anticipation of a July 13 opening, and tech rehearsals just kicked off last week, on July 2nd. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Javier Muñoz will star as Alexander Hamilton, 'the ten-dollar Founding Father without a father,' once a week in the Broadway production of Hamilton. Hamilton will begin previews at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.) on July 13 prior to an official opening night on August 6.

This past week The Public Theater celerbrated their 2015 Summer Gala. The gala featured a special performance of the free Shakespeare in the Park production of THE TEMPEST, featuring a cast that includes Sam Waterston and Jesse Tyler Ferguson and directed by Michael Greif. The summer gala also honored Bernard Spitzer (1924-2014) and Anna Spitzer for their extraordinary support over several years.

The ceremony was hosted by Hand To God star, Steven Boyer and Tyrone. Awards were presented by Zachary Quinto and Neil Patrick Harris.
